Referal idea

Would it be possible to set up some sort of a referal system that gives the referer benefits?

Maby if a someone refered a certain number of people they could be granted one of the donator perks. It would be a good way to increase the amount of infohub members, while keeping it fun and rewarding. Because, frankly, we aren't going to get many new members when the only reason for the community to recruit is "we could use the help."

There currently is a refferal system, but I'm not entirely sure how it works, let me find out and update this post...

I'm pretty sure it's not dead... just barely breathing. Vicious probably just hasn't gotten around to finding the program yet, either that or it could take some time to develop one. I like the idea though, I've been racking my brain to think of some sort of advertisement pitch. Me, boxofit, and vicious should go outside and put up colorful signs all along the highway... something like, THE END IS NEAR, GO TO INFOHUB.ME TO FIND OUT WHEN!!

Considering that we've been around since September 2007, and that we seem to have passed our peak activity levels, I'm not too hopeful about advertising, lol. I could set the referral system up, but unless we get an account on vBulletin.org all the perks will have to be added manually. I could stick a banner up for all members with a certain number of referrals telling them to get in touch with an Administrator ASAP...
