Okay, so recently I built an awesome Studio Quality Microphone with Windshield -- it works great and looks like absolute crap, but it only cost me $0.00 because I built with parts I had laying around...
Well when I got it, I started fiddling around with it in Sound Recorder only to quickly realize that Sound Recorder more or less sucks.
That's when I got Audacity -- an awesome open source program that allows me to tinker with audio files and record new ones.
I had been playing my guitar and using Audacity to simply delete my bad notes from the song -- with a little studio magic it turns out I'm quiet the talented guitar player. Anyway, I got bored with that, so I started editing my MP3s...
That's when I discovered Cher, lurking in most of my music.
It turns out that with a simple pitch chance, most songs convert rather nicely to Cher's vocals. Not exactly perfect, but for two seconds of work, pretty darn close -- if you want to see what I mean, try out this Evanescence song, sung to the tone of Cher. -- A word of warning though, this sound sort of pops at the begining and end, and can hurt your ears if your speakers are up loud.

If you're not familiar with the real evanescene song "My Immortal" I suggest listening to it prior to this one, and maybe even a couple cher songs if you can bare it, just to get a good comparrison going.
