So... If all things with my application for financing go well -- I may start college this January...

I don't really know what I want to do though, so I guess it's good I've got plenty of time to thing about it.

I was considering going for an AAS (Associate in Applied Science) degree in Simulation and Game Design, because it's always been a bit of a fantasy of mine, and I know I'd get all the knowledge I need to make my own MMOs and stuff... But at the same time, I've worked with computers pretty much my whole life, and so far, that's not really been working out too well for me.

I know I don't want to work in the medical feild (too much stress and it's not worth it to me), I don't want to work in law (because you either end up working your tail off to make sure guilty people walk free, or you risk getting shot because you send so many to jail), I like the idea of engineering - but here again, aside from archetecture and that sort of thing, most of this is going to end up back with me counting ohms and volts...

I could possible consider teaching, if it weren't for the fact that I was a joke in school, and spent most of my classes sleeping and I never did any homework. I only got from grade to grade by the fact that my test scores were good... Well... There's that and the fact that I absolutely can not stand stupid (not ignorant - STUPID) people who feel the need to act like a complete *** all the time. So teaching anyone ages 10 through 26 pretty much guarentees I go to jail... AND TO MAKE ALL OF THAT WORSE: There's the economy and the fact that there are teachers getting laid off every day around here, schools constantly closing, and the fact that the pay isn't that great to begin with, and they somehow expect you to survive the summer.

So I don't really know what I want to do...

If you've got any ideas as to what I should spend the rest of my working life doing, be sure to let me know....

Odds are I'll end up getting the Associates degree in Simulation and Game Developement then getting a Bachelors in Computer Programming and Analysis.

Or who knows... I'm not really doing anything else right now, maybe I'll try and fill it up to where I can do 9 hours of classes a day and earn 3 associates at once... As soon as I get a Bachelor's degree though, my funding comes to an end, lol.

Bachelor's in Computer Science. I've been there two semesters and I can write simple video games from scratch already.

Yeah... Well, one of my main reasons for going to college is to get paperwork to prove that I can do what I say I can do -- most employers require it, it turns out.

I might still get my Associates in Simulation and Game Development (considering they'll end up teaching me everything I need to make awesome stuff -- including an advanced course on xbox game programming :D), but a Bachelor's in Computer Science might be a nice way to level that off, I suppose.
