Alright. Ranting isn't really my style, but I'll just say what's annoying me, and maybe it'll be long enough to be considered a rant at the end.
As most of you know, I make my living by selling seafood, and butchering things. Really, my job is to sell seafood, but after I took the proper classes I started being scheduled as a butcher as well. It was all great at first, and I was getting plenty of hours between the two, and I was happy. Then came the hour cuts. I was scheduled to work one day a week for two weeks.
Then I come back in to find I've been scheduled, not as a butcher, but as a janitor cleaning up after the other butchers.
If that weren't bad enough, I get called in the next day to do the seafood stuff, and once again find myself called in at right near closing time, only to take care of the last couple of customers, and clean everything up for the night.
Then, this morning I go in to check my schedule for the coming week, and I have five days written on the schedule. I'm apparently supposed to be able to sell seafood, and be a butcher at the same time, and the times on my schedule have question marks next to them.
None of the managers are even answering the phone so I can figure out what's going on, so I'm about to head into Mobile,AL and make a house call to one of them. See you guys later.
