This recipe requires a Candy Thermometer
2 egg whites
1/2 c corn syrup
1/2 c water
2 c sugar
dash of salt
bit of vanilla
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Combine remaining ingredients and then boil on medium until it reaches 240 degrees.
When mixture is at 240, combine 1/3 of it with the eggs and beat again.
Put remaining 2/3 of mixture back on stove until it reaches 265 degrees. When it is done, combine it with previous mixture and beat.
Stir until really thick. Drop on wax paper and cool.
