I'm curious if anyone here who happens to play games, is excited for anything coming out? Or if not excited, perhaps looking forward too?
I've created this nice little list of games that are both out and not out, that I haven't been able to play or want to play:
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Dragon Age: Origins
Alpha Protocol
Mass Effect 2
Commander and Conquer 4
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Afrika
Demon's Souls
Borderlands
Tekken 6
Yakuza 3(I might even get to play this, unless I learn Japanese)
Heavy Rain
Final Fantasy XIII
Starcraft 2
APB
For now, that's all I can think of. As you can see, I enjoy games across a lot of different genres and I keep up a lot on future releases of stuff. Some of these games don't even have estimated release dates! I know for a fact there are a couple of games I'm missing that I'd like to play.
Let's see here...
Red Faction: Guerrilla - PC sucks or I would play this.
Batman: Arkham Asylum - Not really a fan of Batman.
Dragon Age: Origins - Never heard of it, I'll look it up.
Alpha Protocol - I'll look it up.
Mass Effect 2 - PC sucks.
Commander and Conquer 4 - PC sucks.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC sucks.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Not my thing.
Afrika - I'll look it up.
Demon's Souls - I'll look it up.
Borderlands - PC sucks.
Tekken 6 - Not another Tekken game.
Yakuza 3 - Not another Yakuza game.
Heavy Rain - PC sucks.
Final Fantasy XIII - ANOTHER FREAKIN' FF GAME? >:(
Starcraft 2 - Oh god no.
APB - I'll look it up.

Another Final Fantasy? I'm beginning to doubt the "final" part... Oh well, Davy (boxofit) will be pleased to hear about it, if he hasn't already.

Red Faction: Guerrilla - I played this game for my 360, and i have to say i didn't enjoy it. UNless you are a fan of "DRIVE THIS CAR ThERE TO KIL STUFF THEN BLOW UP THE THING AND DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN " type missions, i strongly recomend passing on RF:G
Batman: Arkham Asylum - This is, without doubt, the single greatest brawler i have played in my entire life. Every single part of this game is perect, and i have nothing badtosay about it, even those who dislike batman will love this game.
Dragon Age: Origins - I don't know much about this game, but i know enough to say that this game looks pretty ****ing great. I'm justwaiting for the refiews to come in to decide weather or not to shel out 60 bucks for this bad boy.
Alpha Protocol - Looks great, but its not been getting as much coverage as it deserves, and the design team iskeeping alot of it secret. I'll be buying it, if only for the RP elements.
Mass Effect 2 - Mass Effect One is myfavorite RPG of all time, so i'll be buying this game. Good god i can't wait.
Commander and Conquer 4 - I know i'll sound crazy when i say this but... not a fan of these games. I'ma "Total War" boy at heart, and nothing will ever change that.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Watching gameplay videos is ecstacy.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - BOO! MAREL SUCKS! BOOOOO! WE WNT DC GAMES! BOOOO! (i'm a DC fanboy, and i hate marvel.)
Afrika - ?
Demon's Souls - ?
Borderlands - Do you think they could use a little more brown in this game? Although i'm temptedto buy it, it's a no go. I have the feeling this game will disapoint many.
Tekken 6 - I love tekken... not as much as SOul Caliber and Marvel vs Capcom, but i'll still consider a purchase... probaly no though.
Yakuza 3(I might even get to play this, unless I learn Japanese) - ?
Heavy Rain - NO!
Final Fantasy XIII - Final Fantasy sucks major ······, and nothing you can say will make me change my mind. JRPGS are ****.
Starcraft 2 - BLISS! ****ING SWEET ECSTASY! Starcraft one is THE SINGLE GREATEST GAME EVER MADEIN HISTORY. I will be sleeping in a tent net to gamestop in order to buy this game as son as possible.
APB - No.
Red Faction: Guerrilla - No
Batman: Arkham Asylum - No
Dragon Age: Origins - Never Heard Of
Alpha Protocol - Never Heard Of
Mass Effect 2 - 66% chance of me getting
Commander and Conquer 4 - Stupid Must-Be-Connected-To-Internet-At-All-Times-To-Play-Rule is Stupid
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Maybe
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - No
Afrika - Never Hear Of
Demon's Souls - No
Borderlands - No
Tekken 6 - Not on your life, sport
Yakuza 3 - Never Heard Of
Heavy Rain - No
Final Fantasy XIII - The only game in this list there is a 100% chance of me getting
Starcraft 2 - 75% chance of me getting
APB - Never Heard Of

Arthur my friend, you are nutsy, and that's A-Ok!
I've had Red Faction: Guerrilla on the PC for a few days and I've been loving, It's a lot more than driving from point A to point B and blowing stuff up. Yes though, a lot of the game is about blowing stuff up...that's sort of Red Factions thing.
Since everyone else did this, let me talk about the games.
Red Faction: Guerrilla - See above
Batman: Arkham Asylum - Loved the demo, haven't gotten around to buy it yet.
Dragon Age: Origins - I'm pretty excited for this, I love Bioware RPGs.
Alpha Protocol - Obsidian is always pretty strong in story if buggy and can never finish a game.
Mass Effect 2 - I own Mass Effect twice -_- Enough said right?
Commander and Conquer 4 - I'm big CnC fan and it's recent rebirth was pretty strong to me. I don't like the have to be online BS, but who knows.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - It's Star Wars and Bioware? What could go wrong? Right?
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - I enjoyed the first one, and I love coop games.
Afrika - Think Pokemon snap, except real animals and you get to drive a jeep and upgrade your camera. It was the first trailer for a PS3 game I ever saw back in 2006(or was it 2005?) I said I have to get it, and I can't go back on my word.
Demon's Souls - Multiplayer hardcore action/RPG, you die often.
Borderlands - I like the graphic style, besides the brown. Again coop, which I love.
Tekken 6 - I enjoy myself some Tekken.
Yakuza 3(I might even get to play this, unless I learn Japanese) - I don't know what to call this, I've played like five hours of Yakuza 2(Lost my save due to PS3 HDD issue) but it's awesome. It doesn't look like 3 will be coming out here.
Heavy Rain - my friends all want to watch me play this, I enjoyed the other games from whatever the company is called.
Final Fantasy XIII - First FF game in awhile that actually looks pretty sweet to me. I sort of liked 10, and I enjoyed 9. *shrugs* We'll see.
Starcraft 2 - I want this for the cinematics and the custom maps.
APB - For just the customization I'd get this, but it looks solid all around to me.
But what about things I don't have listed here? Are there any games you guys are interested in that I haven't mentioned at all?

Scavar, i went into Red Faction expecting one thing: Gorilla warfare. I mean, it's in the ****ing title so it's not too much to expect, right? I expected sneaking into a important building, seting some homemade explosives, running out of the goddamn place right before it blows, and having to escape before reinforcements show up. I have wanted a game like this for aaaaaages because i really enjoy the idea of Guerilla warfare. The first couple missions of RedFaction were like this, and i got extremely excited. " COULD THIS BE THE GAME I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR?! ". But then, after about an hour into the game there was no longer sneaky guerilla warfare, with a few close encounters with the government, and the occasional firefight when your outnumbered and outguned, and have to find an exit and a few jailbreaks and such, it was a Michael ****ing Bay movie. Things blowing up left and right, simply driving cars into buildings to destroy them instead of being sneaky, firefights where ever you turn, miners being just as well armed (if not better) then the eliet forces, and a terrible god aweful ****y mess of a story.
That game is everything i hate about video games. They promise one thing, and show you a little glimpse of what could be, then rip off Aliens and make things blow up.
*SIGH*
Oh, and you wanted other games that we might want to get. Here joo are.
Halo 3: ODST
Assassin's Creed 2
Mike... you need to pay more attention to the gaming world. Same with you Mr. Hooper.
I get four gaming magazines a month. I only pay attention to games I care about (READ: Strategy and RPG)

Alpha Protacol is a RPG,
Dragon Age is a strategy RPG,
and Mass Effect is one of the best RPGs made for this generations consoles, if not the best.
I recomend acctualy reading the gaming magazines, instead of turning the pages and reading one word from each page.

If you did what you suggest doing later on in the game Arthur, you would just die. There is plenty of Guerrilla warfare going on, but there is also plenty of "Go blow this place up and drive around". I can see your point of why you don't like it though, and I can respect that.
And Mike, what games are you interested in then? Risen comes out soon and that's an RPG. Runes of Magic? Majesty 2? I suggest at least taking a look at the games Arthur mentioned.
Assassin's Creed II, I completely forgot about that! I am also looking forward to that.

MW2, maybe I'm thinking about it. I don't like the price hike they've put on it.
You found it, APB, good. :D

But the multiplayer looks soo..... oh..... god.
My most anticipated games are probably Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIV, (a mmo I might actually pay for if they do decide to charge for it), and Fallout New Vegas. Other than that, I can basically care less.

Fallout new vegas looks good, but that's miles down the road.

I didn't even know Fallout New Vegas had information released.
And after about two seconds on Google, it still seems like almost no information exists for it. Other than it's not a direct Sequel of any sort, is being done by Obsidian which has a bunch of people who have worked on other Fallout titles. Oh, and a vague 2010 release date.

Plus, lately, Obsidian has gotten into the habbit of droping projects without leting them first bloom.

Craft of Gods -
I just learned about it today; at first glance, it didn't look like my type of game, but MMOsite's latest feature (http://news.mmosite.com/content/2009-09-18/20090918042447034,1.shtml) let me see the lush scenery (but ew, scorpion mount).
The music's really nice too. Plenty of races to choose from. I think you'll be pleased with one particular race (http://www.craftofgods.eu/en/game-guide/race-abilities.html), BB. ;)

Aliens RPG you mean? That's the only thing I can think of, and that wasn't their fault but the publisher from what I understand. Unless you mean support? NWN2 is still getting constant updates.
An MMO with Werewolves you say? Interesting. It doesn't look terrible, I'd have to play it first to see though.
