New Job

I started work at Winn-Dixie today, which is a nice break from hunting down odd jobs. I was perfectly prepared to go in there, and work part time, but it seems my luck had other plans for me. So of course on my first day as soon as I finish my two hours of training for the Bakery what happens but the co-director of the store shows up, and says, "Hey James, it seems I accidentally hired an extra person, and they're going to be working in Bakery, so I'm promoting you to seafood." So then I had to go through two more hours of training, and after about half an hour working in seafood after my training, my new seafood boss gets into an argument with someone on the phone, and then fires them. Then she comes up to me, and says, "Hey I need a new full time worker, are you interested?" Of course before I could stop myself I said "Yes." So it seems in a sort of expected from my luck turn of events I received two promotions on my first day.

EPIC. Lol. When I was at Giant, though, they had stranger human resource management, so I was simultaneously a Cart Boy, a Bagger, a Cashier, and a Bakery Tech. They like randomly threw us around where we were needed, never staying in one place.

For anyone wondering why Davy's manager called him James, that's because Davy's first name is (or possibly 'was', before a school record edit) James.

Man that is awesome. I remember when i worked at winn dixie... hated it though, i guess for a first job it was appropriate. I love working at walmart however, Jobs listed in order was winn dixie... taco-bell... Arby's...walmart... cantonment building materials... target... tacobell again... now walmart. Davy, i hope you can stay at winn dixie for a while at least untill you can start a career in computer repair or writing or whatever. I'm really glad you got this job. We've been joking around that you can get your pants, shoes, and a ps3 all in one paycheck! did they make you cut your hair? i was actually wondering about that.
