It MAY hit earth -- the chances are about as good of it hitting as there are of you dieing in a plane crash -- so still a good bit higher than what we'd like to associate with a meteor, but still...

Furthermore, it'll only leave a big crator and we'll have plenty of warning in order to evacuate the area -- me personally, I'll be leaving the hemisphere, because I remember what scientists say happened to the Clovis people.
