An old favorite taken from the Hunt's Cookbook years (and i do mean years) ago.

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 pkg. (about 2 oz. ) taco seasoning mix
1 (15 oz.) can Hunt's Tomato Sauce
1 cup water
1 pkg. (about 20 oz.) corn tortillas
2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese

Sauté ground beef, onions and garlic in 10 in. skillet until beef loses redness; drain fat. Add taco seasoning, Hunt's Sauce and water; simmer 3 to 5 minutes. In a 2 qt. casserole, arrange alternate layers of tortillas, meat sauce and cheese until all used up. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
