The Suffering

I don't know how many of you have heard of The Suffering, but I have to say I thought it was a pretty good game. If you can ignore the voice actors and the movie scenes, you're left with some wholesome monster killin' madness. There really aren't that many weapons available in the game, but at least that means all of them rock. Anyway, the point of the game is to leave your death row inmate named Torque through a maze of a prison, and a ridiculously monster infested island, and come out alive. If you play on the hardest difficulty then it poses a little challenge, so I'd advise starting on the hardest difficulty. The best thing about this game, however, is that it is FREE. When the sequel to The Suffering was released, the first game became freeware, and you can download it from many places on the internet. I'd provide a link that I know is safe for download, but unfortunately linking is against Infohub rules, so if anyone is interested in downloading it, and can't find it themselves, just send me a pm, and I'll make sure to send you the link for download. Also, I beat the second game a while back, and it is worth playing too, but is way too easy for any real gaming experience. I'd only recommend it if you need closure after the first game.
