Well, I've got to to begin this thread with a deeply heartfelt thanks to Tom and his friend, Brandon, who have made it possible for me to re-create infohub here at dedi-servers.net -- without them I'd still be stuck with basic hosting packages and very limited control.

But that is all the past... We must now focus on the future!

Just a glimpse at what the future holds in store for us:

~Complete transfer of the old forum posts (so don't worry about loosing any of the recipies, poetry, art, or whatever it was you were into).

~Purchase of a new domain name (and without the ineptitude of our old host, we will actually be able to keep it, this go around, lol).

~New features and content which would have been impossible before! I've been wanting for some time to move to vBulletin, and it's just always been impossible through our old host -- but now... Now the sky is the limit. That which I think, can become existent! An Arcade? Why not?! Web Pages?! Maybe!! Who knows... You do! I'll be looking for a lot of user imput in regards to shaping the new look and feel of Infohub!

And to make nice things even nicer, I've managed to create what I feel to be a very nice theme - and not a far cry from our old one (but maybe I'm just being biased because I made it, lol)

When I get around to restoring the old usergroups and configuring the forum access permissions I'll give you back your old VIP status, and all your old posts will be imported soon.

I'm RobC1907 by the way, lol.

Yeah... The whole "Tom" thing is going to take some getting used to.

I figured, since I've known you for over a year now, that I would be doing you a disservice by not entrusting you with my real name. You'll get used to it soon, don't worry :P

There may still be, who knows. The only reason I could forsee us needing to change name would be to better suit a nice URL (in case I can't re-purchase Infohub-forums.com or find another infohub-reladed domain).

so here you are just running a server on a dedicated server.

because im currently messing about with hosting my own site and basically seeing what i can do with it ive added a blog a forum and a wiki just for the fun of it :) .

I've considered a wiki, but seeing as the site has no real set focus (we're don't specialize in any one field, we're more meant for the enjoyment of the community) any wiki we made would eventually end up covering virtually everything that exists, and then we'd have to compete with wikipedia, which I'm just unwilling to do, lol.
